1. Foundry is software, not advice
Foundry Planning, LLC (“Foundry”) provides financial planning software to advisory firms. Foundry is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, accounting firm, or law firm, and it does not provide investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice. Nothing produced by the Service is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or to adopt any investment, tax, or estate strategy.
2. No advisory relationship with your clients
Foundry is a tool used by professionals. The advisory firm and its advisors are solely responsible for the advice they give, for the suitability of any strategy, and for meeting their own regulatory and fiduciary obligations. Foundry owes no fiduciary duty to a firm’s clients and forms no advisory relationship with them.
3. Projections are hypothetical and illustrative
Plans, charts, and figures generated by Foundry are estimates based on the inputs and assumptions provided. They are hypothetical, do not reflect actual results, and do not guarantee future outcomes. Small changes to inputs or assumptions can change results significantly.
4. Monte Carlo simulations
Foundry’s Monte Carlo analysis runs many simulated paths to express a probability of an outcome under a set of assumptions. Return and volatility assumptions are derived from index data, not from any actual portfolio. A probability is not a prediction, and a favorable simulation is not a promise of a favorable result.
5. Tax, estate, and document calculations
Federal and multi-state tax projections, estate calculations, and wills- and beneficiary-related outputs are informational estimates generated from the data entered. They are not tax, legal, or accounting advice and may not reflect your specific circumstances or current law. Confirm any tax or estate decision with a qualified CPA or attorney.
6. Information you and your documents provide
Results depend on the accuracy and completeness of the information entered, including data extracted from uploaded statements, tax returns, and other documents by AI Import. Foundry does not guarantee the accuracy of extracted or third-party data. Review every figure before relying on it.
7. No warranty
The Service is provided without warranty as described in our Terms of Service. These disclosures supplement, and do not limit, that agreement.
