1. What this covers

This policy explains how Foundry uses cookies and similar technologies. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

2. Cookies we use

We use only strictly necessary cookies. When you sign in to the Foundry app, our authentication provider (Clerk) sets session cookies that keep you logged in and keep your account secure. These cookies are required for the app to function and cannot be turned off while you are signed in.

3. Local storage

This marketing site stores a single preference, your light or dark theme choice, in your browser’s local storage. Local storage is not a cookie, is not sent to our servers, and is not used to track you.

4. Videos on our site

Our home page and demo page embed product videos hosted on YouTube. Nothing is requested from YouTube until you press play on a video, so no Google cookie is set before then. Once you press play, your browser connects to Google and Google may set cookies under its own policy. We use the youtube-nocookie.com player, which reduces what Google collects. We receive no report of who watched, and we send Google nothing about you.

5. Error reporting and session replay in the app

Inside the Foundry app, we use Sentry to record errors so we can fix them. Sentry also keeps a session replay, which shows us what was clicked when something broke, for about one in ten sessions and for any session in which an error occurs. All text and all form entries are masked before the recording leaves the browser, images and documents are blocked, and we do not attach your IP address.

This covers every page of the app, including the forms clients fill in. If your advisor sends you a link to a data request or a risk questionnaire, that page can be recorded the same way, with everything you type masked.

6. What we do not use

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, ad-network pixels, or third-party analytics on either this site or the app. There is no Google Analytics tag, no Meta pixel, and no retargeting of any kind. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and provide any consent controls required where you live.

7. Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary session cookies will prevent you from staying signed in to the app.

We may update this policy as our practices change. The date above reflects the latest revision.
